 Our Story

"As Snoop Dogg questioned me about my senior thesis, The Ethics & Legality of Virtual Reality, I thought life could not get any more surreal. Next thing I knew, Floyd Mayweather entered the room and emptied a backpack full of hundred-dollar bills onto the floor. Snoop looked at me and shouted, “The Champ has arrived!” I had been co-producing Snoop Dogg’s popular interview show, GGN, for over a year remotely and was being flown out to to finally meet the rest of GGN’s production team in Las Vegas where I had set up an interview between Snoop & Floyd Mayweather prior to Floyd’s historic fight against Conor McGregor.

This all started back when I was interviewing musicians for my college radio station (WHRB 95.3FM) and meanwhile, pitching their management ideas for how the artist could create alternative revenue streams. While most of the people laughed off my not-so-subtle networking, Chicago-based hip-hop group Sicko Mobb liked my ideas and hired me to execute multiple projects. Through this, I met their manager, Sergio Patillo (A.K.A Get Gwop, CEO of Oakstreet Media) who introduced me to my next three jobs and who remains my biggest mentor to this day. He taught me that the artists should always comes first, which is why all of DoggHouse’s relationships with our clients are ‘at will’, non-exclusive, & start with a free trial.

Through one of the jobs Gwop got me, I was connected with Snoop’s production team who decided to hire me as an off-site producer for Snoop’s show, GGN. That’s about when Floyd entered the room & pulled his odd stunt. Suddenly, instead of cold-emailing pitch decks, artists were reaching out. While the business was growing, I started at Harvard Law School, where I’m gaining a greater appreciation for the complex principles at play when developing deals on behalf of artists and entertainers. Since starting law school, DoggHouse has grown immensely and we now service over 30 clients, including companies like The Boston Globe & Awful Record, as well as artists like Jeremih & Kota the Friend. Dogghouse stands alone across media companies for our unique contractual guarantees to put clients first, backed up by shrewd cultivation and negotiation of major deals.” - Aaron
